exhibition of 2010 in Shanghai

On May 1st this year, the world will witness the inauguration of Expo 2010 on the banks of the Huangpu River in China’s second largest city after Beijing, Shanghai. It is considered the largest in the history of world exhibitions. More than 200 countries are participating in it, in addition to a large number of various official organizations and international companies.

The exhibition’s activities will continue for six months, up to the end of October, under the theme:
"Better City, Better Life".

  • Prince Mansour bin Mit'ib: “It is an honor that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques assigned the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs to represent the Kingdom at Expo 2010, and we ask Allah to grant us success in fulfilling the expectations of the Kingdom’s Government and people.”

  • Dr. ' Abd ar-Rahman Al Ashaikh: “The Kingdom’s pavilion at Expo 2010 was built to endure as a bridge for communication with the friendly people of China in particular, and with the world in general.”

  • The 1600 m2 Giant Emerged Screen takes the visitor in a virtual journey through the Kingdom’s treasures.

  • Dr. Mohammad Al Ghamdi: “The Kingdom’s pavilion, with its huge structure and diverse programs and content, reflects the strong ties and mutual interests between the two countries.”

  • Moon Boat anchored on Saudi Arabia-Chinese Friendship Garden pointing in the direction of Makkah.

  • The Tent City of Mina is one of the 55 city projects that have been selected from 226 nominations from across the world for exhibition at the World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
